Israel marches around the fortified city of Jericho, with priests blowing trumpets at the front and the covenant people following in ordered procession beneath towering walls and watchful battlements. The sealed city gate and massive ramparts emphasize the human impossibility of the conquest, while the trumpet bearers point to Israel’s obedience to the Lord’s command through Joshua. In Joshua 6, Jericho falls not by siege engines or military strength, but through faith-filled obedience: the people circle the city, the priests sound the ram’s horns, and at the appointed shout the walls collapse. The scene is well suited for teaching on trust, divine promise, spiritual warfare, and God’s power to overcome barriers.
