5 Kaya nang itinanaw ni Jesus ang kaniyang mga mata at napagmasdan ang lubhang napakaraming taong paparating sa kaniya, sinabi niya kay Felipe, “Saan tayo bibili ng mga tinapay upang makakain ang mga taong ito?”6 Subalit sinabi niya ito upang subukin siya sapagkat alam ni Jesus kung ano ang dapat niyang gawin.7 Sumagot si Felipe sa kaniya, “Ang dalawandaang denaryong° halaga ng tinapay ay hindi makakasapat sa kanila upang makatanggap ng kaunti ang bawat isa sa kanila.”8 Isa sa kaniyang mga alagad, si Andres na kapatid ni Simon Pedro, ay nagsabi sa kaniya,9 “May isang batang lalaki rito na may limang tinapay na sebada at dalawang isda, ngunit ano ang mga ito sa napakaraming tao?”10 Gayunpaman ay sinabi ni Jesus, “Paupuin ninyo ang mga tao.” Madamo sa dakong iyon kaya umupo ang mga lalaki na ang bilang ay halos limang libo.11 At kinuha ni Jesus ang mga tinapay at nang siya ay nakapagpasalamat, ipinamahagi niya sa mga alagad at ipinamahagi naman ng mga alagad sa mga nakaupo, gayundin ang mga isda, gaano man ang gustuhin nila.12 At nang sila ay nabusog, sinabi niya sa kaniyang mga alagad, “Ipunin ninyo ang mga lumabis na mga piraso upang walang anumang masayang.”13 Kaya inipon nila at napuno nila ang labindalawang bakol ng mga piraso mula sa limang tinapay na sebada na lumabis sa mga nakakain na.14 Kaya ang mga taong nakakita ng tanda na ginawa ni Jesus ay nagsabi, “Totoong ito na ang propetang darating sa sanlibutan.”
Luke 9
12 Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”14 For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”15 And they did so, and had them all sit down.16 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.17 And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
Mark 6
35 And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late.36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass.40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties.41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all.42 And they all ate and were satisfied.43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
Mark 8
1 In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them,2 “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat.3 And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away.”4 And his disciples answered him, “How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?”5 And he asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”6 And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.7 And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.8 And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.
Matthew 14
15 Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”16 But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.”17 They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.”18 And he said, “Bring them here to me.”19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.20 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Matthew 15
32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”33 And the disciples said to him, “Where are we to get enough bread in such a desolate place to feed so great a crowd?”34 And Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”35 And directing the crowd to sit down on the ground,36 he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.37 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over.38 Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
